When you have amazing clients
Monthly Newsletter from New Dawn Realty August 10, 2023
Yesterday, New Dawn Realty and Prime lending, hosted our First Annual Elbert County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Appreciation Party.
As our men and women in blue arrived, they were greeted with a “citation” for speeding. Clocked at 55 in a 25. Reason? Worried they wouldn’t get a slice of free mouthwatering pizza.
We had a blast handing out these citations which were actually vouchers towards closing cost on their purchase or sale of a home, in thanks for their service.
One deputy played along, “I wasn’t speeding ma’am, but I did forget to put on my seat belt.” We laughed.
We had so many people show up, we had to set up two additional tables. Two!
We raised raised money for the the Elbert County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit program. Obtaining a new K-9 unit dog entails the cost for the dog, handler training, getting vests, a K-9 prepped vehicle, a vehicle wrap and so much more. All of this can cost up to $50,000!
Goose is their newest K-9 officer. Welcome, Goose. He demonstrated how he attacks the bad guys.
I had the privilege of sharing my story and encouraging those who serve our community.
Grant Thayer, Elbert County Commissioner shared some encouragement, along with
Tim Craft, Craft and Companies,
Steve Sundberg, Aurora City Councilman
Sergeant Graham Dunne, Ragnar Tactical
Alex, Goose’s partner
Mike, Rico’s partner
and of course, Sheriff Tim Norton inspired us all.
These fundraising parties don’t just happen, they come together when you have amazing clients.
Thank you to all who showed up to make this event a blast and each of you who donated.
