DIA still 10th-busiest airport in world
Denver International Airport held on to its position as the 10th-busiest airport in the world in 2010, based on total passengers, according to data released Tuesday by Airports Council International.
DIA’s passenger volume of 52.2 million last year was up 4.1 percent from 2009’s level. It was one of the strongest growth rates among the leaders. Atlanta’s airport handled the most passengers, 89.3 million, and it was followed in the top 10 by airports in Beijing, Chicago, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris, Dallas-Fort Worth and Frankfurt.
